FAQsQ: Will North Pointe provide for use of electronic medical records systems? A: Yes. X-rays and other medical image records from recent patient visits will be accessible at the push of a button to OAL physicians at the new North Pointe offices. Using OAL’s PACS digital imaging system, patient records may be retrieved from a central data bank. PACS imaging data from third parties, like Lancaster General Hospital, is also accessible, via a secure PACS connection. PACS permits doctors to enlarge images and see fractures that never would be visible on a standard x-ray. Images can be viewed within minutes after a diagnostic exam is completed, even when the exam takes place at another facility. OAL’s physicians and staff also use the “Mobile MD” system that permits them to securely view appointments and patient data from any location via the internet.
A: Our goal is to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for patients and their families. North Pointe offers accommodating waiting rooms with a personal touch in a pleasant environment. OAL employees are carefully chosen for their very patient-focused approach and customer friendliness. We work hard to make your experience at North Pointe and OAL as satisfying, cheerful and pleasant as possible. |
